Usually I can hear only seagulls "screams" around, not a very pleasant music to my ears, lol ...lately some lovely bird songs could be heard coming from the trees in front of my house. Who doesn't like birds? And if you don't hear or see them often a carved one is a nice reminder. I've chosen few for you:

Mexican Folk Art Bird

Handmade little bird on vintage reel/spool

I want to think Spring is already here; usually the end of February and beginning of March are deceiving: if February is just an old enemy I can relate on to be hard to bear March reminds me of a boss suffering of persecution mania and trying to make your life as miserable as his moods, I just don't trust it any more.
Still because Spring can't be far now it is a time for change, for renewal, for new projects and improvement. I've started with my shop adding some fresh colors and I intend to list more quirky items soon.

Hand carved and painted bird

Dewhurst's SYLKO cotton thread

Silk embroidered goblen

All the above items are new listed in my shop. Last week one of my items made Etsy first page which was an interesting experience as it is always nice to be appreciated by wonderful people from all over the world.

Waiting for warmer days I do spend a lot of time reading; usually I do not follow a particular style but choose novels that could cheer me up or feed my interest in history, fiction and writers/artists biographies. Among the books I've read in the last two weeks I recommend: Patrick Leight Fermor by Artemis Cooper and The Hare With Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal.

Till next time have lots of lovely sunny days xxxx
